2010 Final Standings
The point series has come to a conclusion after this past Saturday at Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis. After a hard fought season, the points are in, and the winner of the Formula-D license has been set along with the invitees to Pro-Am Nationals later this year.
"This year has brought a complete smile to my face." says Edgar Sarmiento, co-founder of the series, "We simply couldn't have had a better season without the help of NOS Energy Drink and the rest of our sponsors."
Midwest Drift Union has hosted a series of introductory practice events along with the feeder Pro-Am events around the Midwest this season. Some of the tracks they have seen this year are O'Reilly Raceway Park, Kilkare Raceway, Gateway International Raceway, and the Indianapolis Speedrome among others.
"You should expect a larger variety of tracks this 2011 season." added Jon Gilliatt, co-founder of the Midwest Drift Union. "As our drivers continue to improve, we're working to provide venues that will challenge their skills in the coming year."
Formula-D awards the top driver of the Pro-Am series a FD license. We are proud to announce this year's winner. With 62 total points, it's Mike Feiock of Indianapolis, Indiana. It was a very competitive year, after a points review by the Midwest Drift Union staff, these are the second through fifth place that will be receiving invites to the Pro-Am nationals at the end of the year. Cody Tobe of Dayton, Ohio, Bill Cook of Indianapolis, Indiana, Brian Vrchoticky of Rockford, Illinois, and Kris Hackenson of Chicago, Illinois.
We are also pleased to announce that we will be sending Mike Skudlarek of Plymouth, Michigan with the rest of the invitees. "Mike is an amazing driver and a great person on and off the track. I think his driving style will speak for itself when he goes out West to compete for a chance to drive with the big boys." said Edgar Sarmiento.
